Eric has developed a unique voice in spiritually oriented astrology. The Mountain Astrologer says that Eric's work, "has a surprising freshness, depth, and level of wisdom that firmly establishes the author as an important emerging voice in the Pluto in Virgo generation of astrologers. He is not afraid to write from his heart while tackling challenging subjects like karma, soul growth, consciousness, nonduality, and free will. He has the ability to breathe new life into old concepts and paradigms."

With a background in transpersonal psychology, Eric is most interested in bringing a transpersonal (meaning "beyond the personal" or spiritual) perspective to astrology. He has a particular emphasis on the process of spiritual awakening, how we can grow to realize our soul connection with all of life. His books present new ideas and original approaches within this non-denominational spiritual context. Many people complain that there is little new in astrology books, and many note how repetitious and formulaic many can be. Eric's goal is help establish a new, more authentic and thought-provoking wave of astrology books for a 21st Century audience.

Elements & Evolution is the best example of Eric's work -- it's the most recent, best written, with the greatest potential impact in the field. Here's a few thoughts in terms of deciding which of Eric's other books to purchase. Between Past & Presence is the most basic, very appropriate for beginners interested in a spiritual context of the Moon and Sun. It is also suitable for more advanced astrologers who are interested or curious about a new perspective in seeing the luminaries. It addresses the Moon and Sun in terms of the awakening process. The focus is on how the reconciliation of the past (Moon) allows us to consciously embrace the present (Sun) -- how we liberate from our egoic tendencies into our higher selves. Uranus is more specialized and ambitious, most suitable for readers with some background in astrology. It goes in-depth with the revolutionary planet like no other book out there. We are in the midst of a very Uranian time frame. This book can serve as your guide to understand and navigate the great changes ahead. The Arrow's Ascent is the least accessible and only for those who want something very different. It was written to contrast with the cookbook astrology out there. Eric wanted to be as Uranian as possible! This book is no longer in active circulation, but some inventory remains. The Elements book updates and refines much of the material.

These books are available in other places, but if you buy directly from Soul Vision, Eric will sign your copy. Thank you for supporting the creator of these works.

Elements and Evolution book
"Many books seek out new branches on the tree of astrology. Eric Meyers works the roots. His latest book Elements & Evolution marks a major step forward in examining the core symbolism of astrology. Eric proposes a simple but powerful reframing of our understanding of the elements, attaches it to evolutionary astrology, and opens a door of awareness that will enrich anyone's understanding of the subject. The superb writing, originality and utility of the ideas, and Eric's mastery of astrology's language are invaluable gifts for the spirit and the mind." —Jeff Jawer

uranus bookUranus: The Constant of Change (2008) addresses the revolutionary planet at personal, social, and transpersonal levels. Included are sections on Uranus in aspect to planets and in signs, Uranian individuals, Uranian events, and cycles with the other planets. There is extended discussion about current Uranian activity: The Uranus/Saturn opposition and the applying Uranus/Pluto square. The transpersonal chapters address the spiritual implications of Uranus like no other astrology book has done. Seen as the metaphysical structure that envelops us and the "intelligence of nature," the Uranian matrix is the behind-the-scenes coordinator of our spiritual growth. How we align with the matrix, develop non-attachment, partner with reality (Saturn), and much more, is all thoroughly discussed. The concluding section 'Uranian Wisdom and Paradoxes,' illustrates how, at the Uranian perspective, reality is turned upside-down!

"Eric Meyers presents a complete mandala of the astrological Uranus: a tool for inner exploration, a guide for predictive trends, or a starting point in historical research. The breadth of scope, and depth of understanding, leads to one of the most comprehensive works devoted to any one astrological symbol. This book provides a wealth of material and insight." —Bill Streett

between past and presenceBetween Past & Presence: A Spiritual View of the Moon & Sun (2006) is an astrology book written at an advanced-beginner to intermediate level. It addresses the relationship between the Moon and Sun and their relevance to spiritual growth. Through exploring signs, houses, aspects, rulerships, nodes, cycles, and eclipses, a new paradigm of the luminaries is offered. In short, spiritual growth is furthered by integrating awareness and vitality (Sun) into the depths of the unconscious (Moon). By resolving the past (Moon), we are able to be fully in the present (Sun).

"A fresh and useful analysis of the brightest lights in the sky. Oftentimes it is easy to overlook what is most obvious, sometimes it's worth an in-depth review. Between Past & Presence is a highly rewarding guided tour through the astrological Moon and Sun, bringing new perspectives to very familiar territory. The structure of the book is unique, the writing clear, and the information presented can help anyone - beginner to professional - in being a better astrologer." —Rick Levine, coauthor of Your Astrology Guide

arrows ascent bookThe Arrow's Ascent: Astrology & The Quest for Meaning (2004) ) is no longer in active circulation. This book is extremely experimental and uncoventional. Written in the wake of 9/11 and divorce, this was Eric's initiation into being a writer, and it was written from a very personal place. Though there is a wealth of interesting and creative ideas, it is not accessible for a wide audience. The frutis from writing this book (particularly the content on the Elements) have gone into later works. If you are interested in seeing the origins of Eric ideas, this book may be of interest (if you want to struggle through it!) Contact Eric directly if you want to purchase it -- some inventory remains. The price is $35.

"No art or science is ultimately as all-embracing as astrology, which weaves the warp of astronomy onto the weft of psychology on the loom of metaphysics. It takes a true renaissance mind to embrace the whole system, and it takes a clear-minded poet to get the synthesis across to a reader. Eric Meyers embodies all those virtues. I heartily recommend his book, The Arrow's Ascent." —Steven Forrest, author of The Inner Sky
