To describe Soul Vision, a few words on the soul are necessary. Compared to the body, emotions or intellect, the soul tends to be less accessible for most people. This is because the soul is transpersonal, while the flesh, heart and mind are personal. This inaccessibility has led many to dismiss the soul's existence altogether, yet others yearn for ways to tap into its resources and realize its nature. At this point in our collective evolution, more and more people are aligning with the soul, and this level of awareness is becoming crucial to our survival as a species. Living without this awareness has resulted in leagues of problems on this globe—from blindly depleting resources to perpetuating painful ways of relating.
For both Eric and Sajit, there was no ready-made path to spiritual understanding. We both went through difficult personal processes, learning, healing, and reflection. Through experience, we learned how the soul speaks to us through intuition, nature, synchronicities, and through the wisdom of various teachers. A spiritual understanding of astrology was instrumental in providing a system for comprehending the transpersonal. It appears that Spirit actually has an elegant language to communicate with us! This greatly helped with the inaccessibility issue we were grappling with. It enabled us to chart our course and live our purpose! As is so often the case, we end up teaching what we are learning.
For two years we each worked independently as counselors and astrologers. While deeply satisfied in our personal relationship, the spring of 2010 brought many changes. We decided the next area to focus on was the evolution of our composite North Node in Capricorn in the 8th House. This placement has much to do with learning to merge business resources to realize greater empowerment. We intuited that a new start was needed, and through the guiding hand of synchronicity, moving to Asheville became a reality.
Eric and Sajit are original thinkers and resist labeling our philosophical approach to astrology, counseling or life. Certainly, we agree with the evolutionary view that the soul is growing, and we have a background in psychology. Another influence is the concept of nonduality, which is a fancy way to say "oneness." We've learned to understand how the separate self is like a "story" or an "ego dream" which moves one away from unity consciousness. This realization has been personally liberating to us, as well as opening new avenues in our astrology and counseling work. Our focus is on illuminating the tendencies which keep the separate self contracted and shielded from soul realization, while advocating the vision of a more awakened reality.
Following our vision has led to a new business venture, a new region of the country and a new life. We are enjoying getting to know Asheville, and welcome local clients. We have a lovely studio beside our house which is ideal for meeting with clients. We plan on offering classes and workshops here, and look forward to joining with the community in a variety of ways. We also connect with a national and international clientele through phone and Skype consultations.
